Things Miss Em LUVS (and we mean luv)...

Emme is growing up way too fast for us! She changes so much everyday, so we thought we would post some more of her favorite things (for now):

(ahem)

She loves her swing (her hat, not so much... Luckily this hat has a strap on it that she can't undo... for now...) I think she could swing for hours. I however cannot push her for hours, so we get a good 15-30 minutes in the swing, and then we find something else to occupy her time...

Like thinking... Emme likes to think, ponder, stare, and just figure out the world... Thoughts that she thinks (well, at least what we assume she thinks): Why do I have this thing on my head? Why does my Mom always have that silver thing that flashes in her hand all the time? Why does Maddie lick me so much?
Who is that over there? Why aren't they looking at me? I like Cheerio's... Mom can I have some Cheerio's? What are we going to do next?

Next we try standing up, Emme does pretty good (with some help, of course)....

Aren't those little feet adorable?!? (I love her little legs, so I take lots of these pics)

Of course, sometimes she falls...

But I think she likes it!

Going for a ride on Daddy's shoulders is a great way to view the world (and the neighbor's yard)...

Sitting on her knees is where she likes to be when she is clapping, or watching tv, or getting into the toys, or trying to get the register off the wall, or pulling electrical cords out of the socket (we have now luckily Emme proofed our house)...

One thing she doesn't know if she likes is this "grass" stuff we keep setting her on. It feels a little funny...

Bow to your right... Bow to your left... Now let's try to do the splits... YEAH!!

Miss Em is very curious... One thing that she tries to figure out - she cannot for the life of her figure out the string that hangs from my camera... See?

Blowing kisses to Daddy, who is mowing the lawn!! MMM-WAH!!

And that's Miss Em's life in a blog post! She has been doing something new everyday, so I am sure next week (or soon after) we will have more to post!!

How Stressed is too Stressed?

Because I think I have reached my limit! We are trying to complete our homestudy, collect our dossier documents, refinance our house, correct my student loans (for some reason, the last few months, our bank has decided to screw them up), and keep up with the busy summer months (weddings, graduations, showers, oh my!). We are also working on the Brookings County Relay for Life, so I have been making calls and trying to collect food donations for that. I am now on about 1-2 breakdown a week, but hopefully something gets approved this week (probably not going to happen since it's almost the weekend). And once we get something approved I might skip my weekly breakdown (fingers crossed)!!!

Other than the paperwork/phone work overload, we are doing great! Emme is growing by leaps and bounds, becoming closer to a toddler everyday. She is a little creeper now, she started crawling over a week ago and hasn't really stopped since! We had been waiting on her crawling for months now (she would just rock on her hands and knees, but never move) so I decided that she would never crawl. We were at my cousin Ashley's bridal shower playing a game. I looked down and there is my little Emme, crawling across the floor. Now I didn't want to seem like that psycho new mom that has to point out the "amazing" things her child does, so I kept quiet, picked her up and put her next to me again. Then that little girl just cruised across the floor again, and I couldn't hold it in anymore. "I'm sorry everyone, but I just have to point out that this is the first time my baby has crawled!" And I am not putting words in any one's mouth, but everyone at the shower was truly amazed and thought my baby was amazing! (I hope I read every one's expressions right, because that is what I saw on their faces)....

I will be looking through my pics for updates on Lil' Miss Em, and post them soon (I have been on a camera high the last few weeks, so I will try to post some of my faves up this weekend). Till then, you will just have to picture in your mind how precious she is... Ahh, isn't she cute?!?

Serious Bedhead...

We know, we know... Our daughter is v. cute... Well, it's not easy for her to be so cute. She works hard at it. I mean, she doesn't ALWAYS look so good! This is how she looks when she wakes up...

Do you know how many bottles of gel we use to tame that massive rat's nest down?!?

Well, I guess we don't really use "bottles of gel"... More like a couple of drops of water, and her five stray hairs go down pretty well. But someday, we COULD be using a lot of product on her hair! I'm guessing not anytime soon though....
