A Special Delivery

We had a chance to send a care package off to Baby E about a month ago. We sent him a new outfit, a photo album of his family, and a little artwork decorated by Miss E. We traced out Emme's hand, had her decorate it, put her picture on it, and laminated it. He should have the package by now. I'm sure he is just gushing over how beautiful his Mama is, or (more than likely) he is chewing on it all. Oh well, whatever makes our little guy happy!

Here is the first glimpse Mr. Man will have of his family... And yes I did my hair really quick, put in my contacts, and put on makeup. I got all gussied up for Trent when I first met him, I might as well do so for the other important man in my life!

Mom - Enat
Dad - Abat
Sister - Ehit
Woosha
We had one picture on the back of the three of us waving from the front porch of our house, but I don't have that picture on hand! And we had to include a little Vikings pride, so he knows what kind of family he is joining!

We hope he enjoys the pictures of his new family, but he probably will care as much as a 5 month old can! It just makes me feel better that he has a little piece of us waiting with him. Hopefully we will know soon how much he has enjoyed the care package!

Waiting, waiting, and what was that? OH, more waiting!

A quick update on Baby E. We had our case submitted to court, until there was a snafu in our paperwork! So it was taken out of court until the paperwork was corrected. It is now all ready, and is on it's way to Addis to get submitted to court. Hopefully we will hear this week on whether it was submitted and we have NO idea when our court date will be.

We will now travel twice, because our paperwork was not submitted to court prior to May 8th. So we are now getting ready for 2 trips to Ethiopia this summer (maybe into fall). With the new process, we will get a court date for the birth family, once they pass court we will be assigned our court date, and then we can plan our first trip to Ethiopia. Our first trip will be 6 days total (that is including travel), and our second trip will be 7 days total. Between the two trips we will have probably 6-8 weeks, but really we have no idea because of how new the two trip process is.

So please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as venture on this new journey for our family. We are just itching to bring our baby home!! We still only have the first two pictures that we received in our referral paperwork, and I stare at them everyday! He is such a beautiful little guy, and I cannot wait to hold him!

We will keep you updated as we hear more!

The fight over... the dog bed?

I don't know if very many of your remember this post. But Rosie's little dog bed seems to be a hot commodity in our little house. Now before viewing this picture, I would like to note that we DO in fact have beds in our house (2 actually, very big ones at that), not to mention a very big couch we can lay down on.

Nonetheless, this seems to be the most popular place to veg out...

I think we need to have a talk with Miss E. We must explain to her that if she REALLY wants to lay down, we have a perfectly acceptable FULL sized bed for her to take a nap in... But I have a strange feeling she would still pick this spot!
